Aquarius Technologies Inc. which provides advanced waste-water treatment technologies without Waste-Sludge, completed a total investment of $4M. The round was led by Evergreen Venture Partners. The current investors are L-Capital Ventures, Omega and the company founder, Dr. Efim Monosov, who invented the “no-sludge” concept. The company is led by Mr. Tom Pokorsky, a veteran in the water treatment industry and formerly the president of ITT´s Advanced Water Treatment division.
Aquarius has several plants in Israel :Teva Pharmaceutical, Kvuzat Yavne and several others in municipalities. The company is expanding its marketing activities and already installed its first US municipal plants in Wisconsin, and Indiana and several other deployments which are planned for 2011.
“Instead of simply reducing waste sludge, Aquarius’ proprietary and distinct processes for biodegradable pollutants and toxins, actually prevent its generation. As a result, municipal and industrial facilities are able to eliminate the high cost of turning waste sludge into U.S. EPA-acceptable biosolids for land application, landfill disposal or fertilizer” says Mr. Pokorsky and also adds:” We are pleased to have Evergreen’s support and trust in Aquarius growth prospects.
